The ADTRAN NetVanta 1238P is a business-class 48-port managed Layer 3 Lite Fast Ethernet switch designed for reliable and cost-effective LAN connectivity in SMB, enterprise, VoIP, IP phone, and network infrastructure environments. It provides 48 × 10/100Base-T RJ-45 ports with IEEE 802.3af PoE support, allowing compatible IP phones and other PoE devices to receive both data and power through a single Ethernet cable. The switch provides up to 23.6 Gbps non-blocking switching capacity for efficient network traffic handling.

For uplink connectivity, the NetVanta 1238P includes 2 × 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit RJ-45/SFP combo interfaces along with 2 × enhanced SFP ports supporting 1.0/2.0/2.5 Gbps, providing flexible connectivity for Gigabit and higher-speed fiber uplinks. It supports advanced networking features including 802.1Q VLANs, 802.1D/802.1w Spanning Tree, 802.3ad Link Aggregation, QoS, LLDP/LLDP-MED, port mirroring, MAC-based security, SNMP, SSH, Telnet, and web-based GUI management.
